-5 year Anniversary-

Today is our 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 years..and yet sometimes I can. Marriage is up and down and has highs and lows. Add kids to the mix and the highs get higher and the lows get lower. That's the truth of it! It's not always easy.  I have to say though, putting in the work that is required is well worth it, staying active in your church is also key..it really gives you the fundamentals you need to survive a happy marriage. I don't know how we would still be married without it.  I am so thankful to have a husband that is in it for the long haul, he is the one who will see the light at the end of the tunnel when I am stuck in the dark.  He is such a good man, and such an amazing father.  Ryan I love you forever, you're it for me!  Thank you for 5 fun filled years, you are still the same person you were when I met you.  As I'm typing this Curren is honking a bike horn in my ear and Finley is crawling like a mad woman. 2 kids in less than 2 years, 3 moves to 3 different cities, going through hard times with losing loved ones (the hardest time of losing Bev :( ), losing and getting jobs...all the stuff that life has thrown at us and we're still together, and I still think you're HOT, like super sexy. Love you Thomps! Here's some wedding pics for you peeps to peep.

This is my cousin, Krista! We are 11 hours apart, we grew up always together, she's always been much taller than me..and would always carry me around when we were little, so we kept the tradition going. She was my Maid of Honor and I'm so happy she was!
Me, with my Mom, Dad, and Brother

Our two ring bearers- our nephew Caiden, and cousin Brennan, Flower Girl is Brennan's twin- our little Brookie.

Our Cake, and proposal picture. (Ryan proposed with a caricature drawing!)

had to get a SOMIS picture!

watching the slide show

My Dad and I danced to Nat King Cole and Natalie King Cole's "Unforgettable" I chose this song, cause growing up EVERY time this song would come on, my dad would tell me that Natalie recorded this over her Dad's voice after he had passed away. I never told him that he already told me 1 million times, so it was appropriate to make it our song :)

Ryan dancing with his Mom to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"...we miss Bev so much ;(

My favorite wedding pic! Entrance into the reception

  1. k, for starters, happy belated 5 year anniversary!!!! I think you described marriage and especially marriage after kids perfectly! It is the most amazing thing to have a guy (as we both do) that sticks with us through it all and that we can have fun with along the way. God is so good!

Secondly, wow, what an awesome post of all of your wedding pictures!!! You looked so beautiful and I love the first one of you two...are you barefoot...made me smile;0.
